- Words common in phishing appear next to the brand name: secure, login.

Look-alike sites
Copies of brand names with swapped letters (paypa1), another alphabet (Cyrillic а) or extras like "-login", "-support", "-verify" are caught on your device.
Password box protection
If a suspicious page asks for your password, you get a full-screen warning. Page content is not read; only the presence of a password box is checked.
Status at a glance
The toolbar icon turns green, yellow or red. Click it to see why, and the organization's real address.
The sites you visit stay with you
Checks run inside your browser. The malicious site list is downloaded to your device; our server is never asked which site you are visiting.
- No account, email or sign-up.
- No browsing history is collected or sold, and there are no ads.
- The new domain check only sends the domain of a suspicious site and can be turned off.
- Sites you report are only used to improve the list.
Add the extension
The Chrome Web Store, Edge and Firefox listings are being prepared. Until then you can install the extension manually with the packages below.
Manual install (Chrome and Edge)
- Download the package and extract it to a folder.
- Type chrome://extensions in the address bar (Edge: edge://extensions).
- Turn on Developer mode at the top right.
- Choose "Load unpacked" and select the extracted folder.

Frequently asked questions
Is it really free?
Yes. VuMa Kalkan Web is free and shows no ads. It introduces the other VuMaTech security products.
What data does it send?
The addresses you visit are not sent. Only the domain of a site already found suspicious is looked up for its registration date (can be turned off), and if you report a site yourself, that address is sent.
What if I get a false warning?
Use "Report a false alarm" on the warning page or in the toolbar window. Reports are reviewed and the list is corrected. "Continue anyway" opens the site for the current session.
Which browsers does it support?
Chromium-based browsers such as Chrome, Edge, Brave and Opera, and Firefox.
Does it replace antivirus software?
No. VuMa Kalkan Web is an extra layer against fake sites. An up-to-date system, security software and caution are still needed. No protection is perfect.
